DBC (Documentation Based Care) is an international network of active spine care centres offering a comprehensive and effective treatment for patients with chronic pain in the back and neck. It also aims for protection from recurrent back and neck problems.

The first DBC centre in Hong Kong has been operated since December 2000 at Canossa Hospital (Caritas). It is situated at 5th floor, next to the Physiotherapy Department. All training sessions of DBC are guided by one of our qualified physiotherapists with the use of DBC-specific training devices from Finland.


Initial success of our centre has been confirmed with an average pain relief by 65-71% achieved in 12 sessions based on our local results till the end of June 2001. Besides, statistically significant improvements have been shown in the functions, mobility and muscle endurance in our clients. More importantly, these good results are achieved in our clients with chronic / recurrent back and neck pain up to 25-30 years, with an average duration of 6-8 years !
