The best way to Protect Yourself Against Cancer
is Healthy Living, Early Detection and Timely Treatment

Cancer is a group of abnormal cells. They multiply and spread in a disorderly and uncontrolled fashion, causing diseases or even death. Any part of our body may develop cancer. Some are very difficult to detect and are not easily cured. Others show their symptoms early and hopes of cure are much improved by early detection and timely treatment.

Cancer is not contagious. Scientists have discovered that most cancers are caused by external factors. These are preventable and in fact simply by following two basic healthy ways of living: - Do Not Smoke or Take Excessive Alcohol, we can already prevent many cancers. Recently, doctors also discover that doing exercise and having more fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet may lower our chances of getting cancers.

Early Treatment may bring Good Prognosis

Not all cancers are incurable. But the cure rate often depends on the time of detection. In fact, for many cancers such as cervix and larynx, complete recovery is possible if detected early. But when the cancer cells have already spread to other parts of the body, the possibility of relapses would be high even if one has started treatment. So it is important to note changes in our body. The above mentioned symptoms do not necessarily mean cancer but they may be dangerous warning signs. If there is any suspicion, do not hesitate or waste your precious time in worries. Go and seek medical advice at once.

Always remember: The earlier the diagnosis, the greater the chance for cure.
